It seems like I’ve been working on this post for weeks. I don’t usually have this much trouble, but there were SO many good shots that I wanted to include, and I just couldn’t make up my mind. Admittedly, I am a perfectionist, and it can get a bit ridiculous at times. When we’re editing the images from a wedding, we literally look at every single one, to make sure we didn’t miss anything; but, sometimes, I can get caught up on one photo for hours. I will sit there for hours at a time, making changes and undoing them, until I get the magical formula just right. Ben will occasionally walk by, every 45 minutes or so, see me gnawing furiously on my fingernails, shake his head and walk away. I think he’s learned by now that there’s no point in saying anything to me when I’m in my own little editing world…

So after a few friendly arguments, and couple of knife fights (no, no…just kidding), we are finally ready to post this amazing wedding! Teaghan and Patrick’s ceremony was a little bit different than the norm (which is always good in my opinion). They were already married before they had this ceremony, so they got ready together, rode over in a limo together, and walked down the aisle together…it was SO adorable! Their ceremony was in the tiniest chapel I think I’ve ever seen, and it was a packed house. This first image of them walking into the chapel is one that I lost a few good fingernails on, but I love the way it turned out.

The reception was at the Pearl Street Grill & Brewery. Their reception spaces are so beautiful, that they almost require no decorating whatsoever; just classic gorgeousness everywhere you look.

I loved everything about this cake. Monogramming is so elegant (especially when it’s made of sugar and butter!)

Their bride and groom portrait session was awesome, which of course, made it incredibly difficult for us to choose the best shots for the blog. I don’t think I knew that I was in-love with night-time weddings until I saw how these turned out. This one is my favorite. Supermodel spectacular…

Have I overused the word “adorable” throughout this post? I guess I may have, but is there any better word to use when you happen to catch a shot like this??

Teaghan was the most relaxed, easy-going bride we’ve had in ages. The only request she had was that we get a shot of her and her brother together, so I wanted to include it in the post!

This “dancing legs” picture was a total accident, but I became obsessed with it. Somehow, it looks like abstract art to me, and I kind of love it. (Oh, and whoever’s legs those are in the center of the picture, rockin’ the black patent leather stilettos, I hope you thank your lucky stars everyday. I would kill for legs like that…)

I don’t know why I love this, but I do ?

We’ll end this post with another favorite from the bride-and-groom portrait session. Both of you look ridiculously stunning here!

Teaghan and Patrick, we are honored to have been a part of your wedding day. You are an amazing couple, and you totally made us feel like we were guests at your wedding, instead of working at it! We can’t wait to show you the rest of your photos! Thank-you so much for everything; it was wonderful to meet you, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Last Sunday, we met up with Sheri, Jeff, adorable baby Maxwell, and Goldendoodle Jackson for a family portrait session! Sheri was super-prepared for our arrival, and had Maxwell’s outfit changes ready to roll! We started in Maxwell’s ridiculously cute, farm-themed nursery:

Then, we attempted to get some family shots including Jackson the Goldendoodle. He was mostly cooperative…

Then Max got stripped down to his diaper for some “Naked baby in a Santa hat” photos, at Sheri’s request…these could not be any cuter!!

Out of all of Max’s different outfits, this was my favorite. His little overalls were adorable!

These last two are the perfect photos to end this post. The excitement and love in Sheri’s expression is so obvious. Being able to capture images like these, is what makes us truly love doing what we do. ?
