October was a craaaaazy month for us! We shot 7 weddings and 5 engagement sessions in 4 weeks, and while it was awesome to be that busy, I must admit: it was pretty intense at times. :)
Stephanie and Chris were our first wedding of October, and theirs was truly the epitome of a perfect, Fall-in-Western New York wedding. It was an awesome kick-off to our October-Wedding-Extravaganza! Before I go any further, I have to give Stephanie a HUGE shout out for being such a faithful blog commenter. I know how busy everyone’s life is (including ours), but she takes the time to comment on our work, and that really means SO much to us. THANK-YOU, Stephanie!! We really, really appreciate it!
I started out the day with all the girls at Studio E Salon and Day Spa. LOVED Stephanie’s shoes! ;)
Then, it was over to The Fairfield to grab some stunning detail shots, and of course, some shots of the gorgeous bride! :)
The bouquets were fabulous!
Ben started out his day at The Fairfield with the guys. (No early morning hair salon appointments for him – I’m sure he was hugely disappointed.) I love this shot of the best man showing off his ring-carrying duties!
The Fairfield has this great little hidden courtyard where the guys were all hanging out before the limo arrived. This is a fabulous shot of guys doing what guys usually do on wedding days…LOVE it! ;)
Stephanie and Chris chose St. Barnabas Church in Depew for their ceremony. It was our first time shooting there, and we were loving the natural light that was just pouring in through the windows and skylights. I also love that Stephanie wore her veil over her face – so classic and traditional, and something you don’t really see that much anymore.
Check out the awesome lines in this shot! It’s such a modern looking sanctuary.
Happiest unity candle lighting EVER…
I love to capture the moment immediately following the kiss. It’s like, a split second where the bride and groom get to reflect on what just happened, and it’s always so full of joy.
After the ceremony, we headed on over to Como Lake Park for some wedding party shots, and some photo time with our bride and groom! The sun was ridiculously bright that day, and the sky was perfect. This hill was the first thing we saw when we pulled into the parking lot, and we were like, “Ok, the top of this hill is a must-use.” It was a pretty steep climb to get to the top, but we managed to convince them to do it, and I’m so glad they were willing, because the shots we took up there were stunning. This one is more of a candid version of the shots we took up there – actually, it was one test shots for lighting, but I chose this one for the blog because I love what’s going on in it. The girls are all in the correct places, just waiting to be photographed, and Chris is barking at the guys to pull it together and do what they’re told…HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I just love this shot, though…the sun, the sky, the long shadows…it’s all so lovely.
Ben grabbed this shot from the side while I was shooting the head-on version, and I adore it.
These two really, really rocked their couples session. Amazing job, guys! :)
This one is hilarious, but totally “them,” so it had to be included.
On the other side of the park, there’s this cool stone lighthouse, so we grabbed the wedding party for a few more shots.
Our last stop of the day, was Marygold Manor, for a fun and fabulous reception!
The first dance…
Stephanie and her dad….
…and Chris and his mom! (This was truly a kick-ass mother/son dance, if I do say so myself.)
We’ll leave you with a fabulous night portrait of a truly awesome couple! :)
Stephanie and Chris – thanks so much for choosing us to be a part of your wedding day! We had an amazing time! You two are really such a great couple, and you were a pleasure to work with! CONGRATULATIONS!!
