Although there are many, many things I love about being a wedding photographer, one of my most favorite things is getting to experience and explore all sorts of gorgeous locations that I would otherwise never have seen. That was absolutely the case with Margaret and CW’s shoot, which took place at Margaret’s family’s beach house in Canada. I didn’t grow up in Buffalo, so I never really knew that having a beach house in Canada (just across the border) was kind of a “thing” that Buffalo people do; but, now that I’ve seen it, I can totally understand why! It’s absolutely stunning up there!! When I stood on the shores of Lake Erie (the Canadian version) to photograph Meg and CW on the sailboat, I could see the iconic Buffalo windmills looking ever so tiny, and I thought about how many times I had previously stood right next to those huge windmills, wondering just exactly what was on the other side of the lake. I would always point across the water and ask Ben, “What’s over there?” He would always just say, “Canada,” a typical one-word Ben response. But, now, I know exactly what’s over there. :)
Meg and CW are getting married in just a couple of weeks, and we’re so excited to hang with them again!! They were so much fun, and so easy to work with, so happy and in love – exactly the kind of couple we like to spend our time with.
Margaret and CW – thank you so much for spending some time with us (and for putting up with the 9 gazillion photos I insisted on taking of you in the sail boat)!! We had a great time working with you both, and we’re looking forward to lots more fun and laughs in just a couple of weeks!! Much love, J + B :)
