annette + chris

If you haven’t been to the Buffalo and Erie Country Botanical Gardens lately (or ever), you should definitely check it out. It’s a pretty amazing place; so many different rooms, intricate displays, and hidden nooks and crannies that conjure up visions of “The Secret Garden.” All of these characteristics make it the perfect spot for wedding or engagement photography in Buffalo, especially this time of year when the weather is half-way between crappy and gorgeous. We met up with Annette and Chris for their engagement session at the gardens on one of those “half-way” days, and the results were more than we had hoped for! It may have been crappy-ish outside, but where we were, it was a jungle paradise. :)

sitting on lap engagement photoThis globe is so cool.  It’s right in the center of the largest room, when you first walk in.  I envisioned this shot as soon as I saw it…
earth engagement photoWe shot a few around the outside of the building, simply because it’s way too cool of a building not to, but it was kind of cold and windy for wandering around.  I do love these, though…

Ayres Photography - Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, Meghan! We really appreciate it! I think the globe shots are my favorite, too… :)

Meghan McCarthy - Great shots Jenn & Ben! Lovin’ that fish eye lens! And the “Globe” shots are the best! You guys rock!

Ayres Photography - Jamie, thank you for leaving us such a beautiful comment. We appreciate it so, so much! And, yes, having a great looking, awesome couple like Annette and Chris definitely gives the photos a little “boost!” :)

Ayres Photography - Thanks so much, Annette! So glad we could make you guys feel comfortable, and enjoy the session; and of course, we’re thrilled that you love your photos! :)

Jamie - I love what you did with the mirror in the Begonia Room. The way you artistically capture couples is fascinating. I hope they cherish the memories that were created in this shoot for a life time. My two favorites from this shoot are the mirror shot and the shot you did through the globe…The Botanical Gardens is a great way to juxtapose love, nature, and nurture…Hmmm. I love your work. It’s so hard to pick favorites when you have such a great looking couple in a place like the Botanical Gardens.

Annette - Ben & Jen, We can’t thank you enough for our beautiful engagement photos, you were soo great to work with and made us feel comfortable. We are looking forward to see more and especially the wedding photos!! : )
