I feel like I’ve been trying to get this post up for AGES!! Things have been absolutely crazy around here – ABSOLUTELY BIZ-ONKERS. We’ve been traveling all over the place for e-shoots and weddings, editing day and night, meeting with sooooo many fabulous couples for 2012 weddings, and trying to remember to eat, take showers, and walk the dog in between all of that. It’s been straight bananas, for REAL. But, throughout all of the insanity, Christine and Rick have been nothing but understanding and supportive of us and our crazy lives, and for that WE LOVE THEM!! Honestly, we can’t thank you guys ENOUGH for being so patient with us during our busiest time of the year – you are THE BEST!
I don’t know exactly how it happens, but somehow, year after year, we manage to attract the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful couples on the planet, and these two are no exception. Christine and Rick are getting married next month at one of our favorite churches to shoot in, and we are so STOKED to be a part of their day! :)
We met up with these two lovebirds at Delaware Park, and started out the session with a few shots next to the always beautiful Hoyt Lake. After that, we wandered through the park, stopping to shoot every awesome thing we saw along the way. ;) Delaware Park is one of those quintessential “Buffalo” locations that everyone loves. Have we shot there a zillion and one times? Yes. Does it matter in the slightest? Nope. Each time we shoot there, we challenge ourselves to look beyond the obvious for new angles and perspectives to make sure that each session we do is unique and different. Gotta keep it fresh, y’all! LOVE this set that we did over by the stone bridge – C + R, you guys look STUNNING!!
“Hey guys, would you mind crawling inside this bush and sitting there for a while?” No hesitation whatsoever. Our couples are the BEST!! This is pure magical awesomeness – LOVE. :) On our way out of the park, we stopped in the Rose Garden for a few. Love, love, LOVE these first two shots by Ben – such a great angle, B – slightly jealous….only slightly. Loving the black and whites in this set, too! You two are so ridiculously cute!
We left Delaware Park and headed over tooooooooooooo…(drumroll) our new favorite Buffalo waterfront spot!! Why is it our favorite, you ask? We’ll happily tell you. It’s because there’s never anyone else there. Never. Where is this magical place, you ask? We’ll happily NOT tell you, so it can stay that way. Look how cute these two are together!! LOVE you guys! Christine is so beautiful…she has one of those smiles that is picture perfect every time. Also, the way Rick kept looking at her throughout the session? Unquestionably and 100% TRUE LOVE. (I was loving Christine’s star tattoo AND her rad boat shoes. I have never actually been brave enough to get a tattoo, but I HAVE secretly been looking all over town to find a pair of sweet boat shoes just like hers…no luck yet.) For our last set of the evening, we hit up this cool, new-ish bridge over by the giant sand piles. We’ve been wanting to use this bridge forEVER, and finally got to! YESSSS!! I love the BUFFALO sign outside the tunnel, too. :) As for my slow exposure on the giant sand pile? Well, it could have been a lot cooler if I had Christine and Rick in sharp focus instead of the factory building, but hey, it was pitch dark out, I had no light for focusing, and….well…I was standing on top of a giant sand pile. I still like it though…whatev.
Christine and Rick – thank you SO MUCH for being so easy to work with and SO MUCH FUN! We can’t WAIT for the wedding! Talk to you soon!
