“I love you the more that I believe you have liked me for my own sake, and for nothing else.” – John Keats

A while back, we drove out to Watkins Glen to meet up with Kathy and Kerby for their e-session, and to take a peek at where they would be getting married next summer.  Neither of us had ever been to Watkins Glen before, but since it’s in the Finger Lakes region, we expected it to be gorgeous (just like everything else out that way), and we were, of course, not disappointed.  It’s a charming little harbor-town, and we had a ton ‘o fun walking around and finding awesome spots to shoot.  These two were so ridiculously cute, and so perfect for each other – they made it super easy for us to capture them being adorable.  One thing that was really noticeable to me about Kathy and Kerby, was how comfortable they seem to make each other.  No matter what craziness we asked them to do (nothing too crazy, but still…), they were completely at ease in each other’s company, as if all that mattered was that moment in time.  It’s always awesome to photograph couples like them, because the moments and interactions we capture during the session are completely authentic, and that is what we believe makes the very best photographs.  :)

This set at the brick wall is one of my favorites from the session…these are insanely adorable.  I love, love, love the black and white “smoosh hug” – it’s amazing.  ;)
The black and white shot on the fire escape steps is also a super favorite…LOVE.
After we played around with the cool brick buildings for a while, we headed on over to the waterfront, to grab some shots there.  There is so much to love about these…
Love the fancy sailboat in the background…YAY!!
Our next location was the Seneca Lake pier, right behind the Harbor Hotel, where K and K’s wedding will take place!  We’re pretty excited about shooting here again next summer!
I love these next three shots more than life itself….seriously.
At the end of the pier, there was this cool Seneca Lake pavillion-type thingy, with windows overlooking the lake.  Soooooo, we shot it from a few different angles.  ;)
This last set of night shots is just WOW.  It took us a little while (and a little bit of bickering…sorry guys) to get the lighting the way we wanted it to be, but it was worth every bit of effort.  I love these….SO MUCH.

Kathy and Kerby – we really can’t thank you guys enough for just being who you are. You were so much fun to work with, and we cannot WAIT for your wedding day! I need to give a special shout out to Kathy, for being such a huge supporter of what we do. I love each and every one of your comments, Kath! They brighten my world!! Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to comment on our work – it means more than we can say. Thank you both for being so patient with us during our crazy-nuts-o season, too…we greatly appreciate it! Much love to you both! – J + B :)
