We’re so psyched to share these photos from Jen and Nate’s wedding in Ellicottville, NY! We were already huge fans of Holimont weddings, but this one officially made it one of our favorite venues of all time. It is such a gorgeous location for a wedding, and the town of Ellicottville is just too cute. The words “warm” and “cozy” don’t typically come to mind when describing a wedding that takes place in mid summer, when the temperatures soar into the high 90s, but when I think back to this day, those are the two adjectives that come to mind. This was such a “warm and cozy” day filled with love, smiles, and super fun times. When I look at these images, I can feel that sense of “warmth,” love, and family; it makes me super happy that we were able to capture that for Jen and Nate. :)
Jen and Nate shared a few of their favorite wedding day memories with us, so that we would be able to share them with all of you! Thanks so much for adding your personal touch to these photos, guys!! We really appreciate your willingness to share!
Hector and I started out the day at a gorgeous house that Jen and Nate rented for the weekend. This place was stunning, and absolutely perfect for an Ellicottville “themed” wedding! I made good use of the many antlers that were lying around.
Nate: “Seeing Jen walk down the aisle took my breathe away. She was absolutely stunning!”
Jen: “My dad and I have a close relationship and him walking me down the aisle and giving me away to Nate was really special to me. When I met Nate at the altar he whispered “you look beautiful” to me. I was so happy at that moment. Our ceremony was really personal and special and I enjoyed every minute of it.” Nate: “Father Ron’s personalized sermon was a very special moment. He formed his message around coaching, which is what we both do on a daily basis, as well as how we can take our coaching and use that to have a strong and ever lasting relationship.” Jen: “During the ceremony my mom and I gave flowers to the blessed mother while “Ave Maria” was sung. It was a beautiful song and a moment I got to share with my mom that I’ll never forget.” Nate: “Hearing the words you may kiss the bride, and I now pronounce you husband and wife.” And, then it was portrait time! Yet another wonderful thing about Holimont – you don’t have to go very far to find awesome photo locations. :)
Nate: “My mother has been a very important part of my life and has always pushed me and supported me in all I do. The mother-son dance was very special to me as I was able to share a dance with her and thank her for all the sacrifices she has made for me.” Jen: “At the reception dinner, the toasts, and the dances were all special, but after that was over and people started dancing and really enjoying themselves I took a moment and looked at all of our friends and family really enjoying themselves. It was really amazing that so many people came in support and celebration on our special day.”
Nate: “It was nice to see the less than a year of planning come together. Everything was perfect and it was just nice to be able to marry my best friend, and enjoy the evening with all of our closest family and friends. What a party it was!!”
I feel like I’ve said this more than a few times so far this season, but ummmmmm….this is yet another of our favorite night shots of all time. LOVE!!! Jen and Nate’s advice to all engaged couples who are still in the planning stages:
“A bit of advice that we received as we were stressing near the wedding was that the only detail that matters is that at the end of the day you are happy and married. I think doing things that relate to you as a couple is important as well as doing things that make you happy – not anyone else.”
Jen and Nate – thank you so much for choosing to have us with you on your wedding day!! We feel honored to have been able to capture these memories for you. Yours was one of those wedding days that reminded us how much we love what we do, and it’s awesome when that happens. Thanks for all of your patience and trust; it means more than you could know. We wish you both all the happiness in the world!!
Much love, J + B :)
