“Love is the seed of all hope.  It is the enticement to trust, to risk, to try, to go on.” – Gloria Gaither

Julie and Pete’s wedding was one of the most relaxing weddings we’ve been involved with in a loooooong time.  There was virtually zero stress, everyone was calm and happy, and the entire day just flowed along smoothly.  It was the kind of wedding day that really made us love our job even more than usual.

Julie and Pete are two of the kindest, sweetest, most generous people in the entire world, and it was an absolute pleasure for us to photograph them.  Just by spending a little bit of time with them as a couple, you can tell that they are super committed to each other in every way possible.  You can also tell, pretty much immediately, that they are the best of friends.  :)

I started out the day with Julie and the girls at Shear Glamour Hair Studio, and then we headed over to Lockport Inn and Suites where the girls finished getting ready for the ceremony!

I loved Julie’s wedding sandals so, SO much!  I would totally wear them.  :)
Grabbing some last minute things and heading out to the ceremony!
Ben started out the day with Pete and the guys, also at Lockport Inn and Suites, but on the other side.  ;)
We all headed on over to Spring Lake Winery for a “first look” and an incredibly beautiful wedding ceremony.  This was our first time shooting at Spring Lake Winery, and we were loving it!  If you’re looking for a place to get married next to water, in a gorgeous green location, surrounded by tall trees and natural landscaping, this is the place – it’s amazing.
There was a lot of smiling going on during this ceremony…and laughing…and so much happiness.  One of the readings that Julie and Pete chose for their ceremony was a poem by Sandol Stoddard Warburg, entitled, “I Like You.”  It was so perfect for a wedding ceremony reading…honestly, one of the best and most appropriate I’ve ever heard.  So, I went home that night, and googled it.  You can read the whole poem here.  It’s awesome….trust me.
There were so many great places for photos on the grounds of Spring Lake Winery!  Yes, of course the vines were amazing, but there were many other fabulous spots around, too.  :)
This is my favorite shot of Ben’s from the whole day…LOVE it!
The awesome Spring Lake Winery folks let us borrow a little golf cart-ish thing to go exploring, and we found these fantastic railroad tracks.
Another favorite of mine!
We let Pete take the driver’s seat on the way back.  ;)
We didn’t have too far to go, since the reception was also taking place at the winery, under a fabulous big white tent!
How gorgeous is Julie’s bouquet?  I was in love with all the bright colors, and gerbera daises are one of my favorite flowers of all time.
Super cute little cake topper!!
I don’t think I typically include so many shots of the cake cutting, but I couldn’t get over how ridiculously cute these two are!  They just look so happy together!
Then, we had an adorable first dance, and whole bunch of dancing after that!  (I love Ben’s shot of Spring Lake Winery at night, too!)  :)

Julie and Pete – we can’t thank you enough for choosing us to be a part of your amazing wedding day! We enjoyed ourselves immensely! You guys truly are two of the most awesome people we’ve ever met, and we’re so, so happy that we got to know you both a little bit. We wish you every bit of happiness in the world!! – J + B :)
