Allllllll-righty! We’re onto blogging our September weddings…finally! WOO HOO!!
Renee and Dan’s wedding was in Renee’s hometown, Geneva, NY. If you’ve never been there, you should know that it is absolutely one of the most gorgeous little towns you’ll ever see. The entire Finger Lakes area is amazing; the scenery is perfect for weddings, so we’re thrilled whenever we get to shoot there. :)
I started out the day with Renee, at her parents’ farm; we did their engagement shoot there, too…it’s such a beautiful spot.Renee’s mom, fluffing the dress…
The light was deliciously perfect in this room! I love taking portraits with just natural light…it’s so liberating. If you saw the amount of lighting gear we bring to every wedding, you’d understand. ;) Seriously…I can’t even stand how gorgeous she is.
We took a few pre-ceremony portraits before the limo arrived to pick up the girls…this was one of my faves. :) I saw these red flowers upon arriving, and knew right then that I had to have a shot of Renee standing in them. SOOOOOOO pretty!! :)
I don’t often get to ride in the limo with the bride and her bridesmaids, but since it was an out-of-town wedding, we only drove one car. Soooooo…I got to sit next to the bride and take this awesome photo. I’m totally in love with it.
Ben got to grab a few shots of Dan pre-ceremony, but apparently, the guys got ready at warp speed and there wasn’t a whole lot to capture.
Boo, Dan…you should have gotten ready in slow mo. HAHAHAHA! ;)
I do love this one of Dan getting “flowered-up” at the church…he looks so excited! :)
I think Renee has everyone beat in the category of excitement, though. ;)
So, this is St. Stephen’s Church in downtown Geneva, NY. A few quick tidbits: 1. Renee’s parents got married in this church. 2. It probably has the most amazing stained glass I’ve ever seen in a church that we’ve shot.
These two win the prize for best facial expressions EVER. There is so much to love about this shot. ;)
I can never decide which I love more – the walk down the aisle, or the walk back up. I definitely love how happy these two are to be married, though!
The grand exit…
If you read the “tidbits section” above, then you know that Renee’s parents were also married at St. Stephen’s, and they have a silhouette shot from their wedding taken in this very same doorway! Renee requested this shot so she could have one just like theirs…how cute is that?
After the ceremony, we went over to the waterfront area, to do some bride and groom portraits. I wanted to include every single shot we took of these two and their light-up-the-room smiles, but alas, I could only choose a few for blogging purposes.
Then, we made our way over to Club 86 for an AWESOME, awesome reception. Seriously, it was a party and a half, and these two were the ringleaders. ;)
A few reception details…those coconut cookies were the bomb, just FYI.
Two awesome ring shots. The first one is Ben’s. Yes, I know it’s way cooler. No, I’m not jealous. Okay, maybe I’m a little jealous…I still have no idea how he did this. Mine’s just a lame flower…blah.
I loved ALL the shots we took of Renee and Dan’s first dance…every single one. They looked ridiculously happy the whole time they were out there…adorable.
I loved this one of Renee and her dad, too. :)
This is the start of that party and a half I was talking about…Renee was workin’ the floor and the crowd!
This is just an awesome capture…there’s nothing else to say about it.
Which brings us to a night portrait that will join the ranks of our favorite night shots of all time…between the neon pink lights, the pink tree, and the smokin’ hot couple, this one was a major win. I could not be more in love with it if I tried. :)
Renee and Dan – thank-you SO much for choosing us to be a part of your wedding day! Everything about it was completely amazing. You guys, your families, your friends – all AWESOME! Definitely one we’ll remember for a long, long time. :) We wish you all the best!
