HOLY SHMOKES, we’re insanely busy right now!! Between shooting like crazy, editing like mad fiends, designing albums and awesome mixed media slideshows, meeting with couples for 2011 weddings, and trying to live normal, human lives at the same time, we’ve been keeping ourselves quite occupied. Needless to say, our blogging speed has not been up to snuff. Thankfully, however, Sarah and Mike have saintly patience, and for that, we love them. :)
Sarah and Mike’s wedding was laid-back, carefree, and awesome! We both met Mike and his groomsmen at the church before the ceremony. Sarah and her girls showed up shortly after the guys, and a beautiful ceremony took place!
I love this shot of Sarah right before the ceremony started, just giving herself a last minute once over before she walks down the aisle.
This was our first time at St. Mary’s of the Assumption in Lancaster, and we absolutely loved it. Great light, great windows, great arches!
One thing I really like about Catholic wedding ceremonies is the amount of time the priest spends blabbing on. I guess it’s not really blabbing if they’re saying important things, but either way, it gives us time to scan the congregation to check out what the wedding guests are up to. I love this shot of Mike’s parents, watching intently, hand in hand…it’s such a sweet moment.
This one is just adorable. :)
A great shot of Sarah during the receiving line…I love how happy she looks!
After the ceremony, we headed over to Samuel’s Grande Manor to do some portraits of Sarah and Mike before their reception, and there is certainly no shortage of beautiful scenery for portraits at Samuel’s.
Such a beautiful couple! Don’t they look fab? :)
Sarah and the girls…
…and quite possibly the cutest flower girl there ever was.
Ben’s ring shot won this time (drat, foiled again!!). There’s no denying that this is a pretty cool shot.
I love this one of Sarah’s dance with her Dad…it’s so cute, and they totally look alike!
We had actually never seen this done before, but it was kind of awesome. The bouquet and garter tosses took place at the same time! COOL (and efficient).
Not entirely sure what’s going on here, but I love everything about it.
We grabbed Sarah and Mike for a few night shots at the end of the evening…it has become one of our favorite parts of a wedding day. I still don’t know why, but we LOVE night shots. :)
This is probably one of my favorite night shots of all time. Besides the fact that Sarah and Mike are a STUNNING couple, the freaking tree in the background is BLUE!!! How awesome is that? All of that is done at the time the shot is taken, with lights and colored gels; nothing about this photo was enhanced. Sometimes, I can’t believe how good Ben is at lighting. I would never have thought to make that tree blue. (Honestly? He’s pretty brilliant, and I am so lucky to get to work with him.)
Sarah and Mike – you guys are so great! Thanks so much for choosing us to be a part of your wedding day! We had a great time capturing it! :)
