We needed some video footage of us working with a bride and groom for a project that we were working on with our friend, Frank, of 17 Video Production. So, we enlisted the help of two other friends that we adore, who just happened to be celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary! Carla is a super talented floral designer. She whipped up that gorgeous flower crown and bouquet in a hot minute! I love the colors she chose! Check her out at www.costamagnadesign.com. :)
Thanks so much for being our beautiful models for this shoot, guys! Much love to you both!
Marsha and Steve had a vision of having a special collection of wedding photos taken at Niagara Falls, and since there wasn’t time to do what they wanted to do on their wedding day, they opted for a “rock the dress” session two days after the wedding. We got to spend another whole day with this amazing couple, doing all sorts of fun, touristy things at Niagara Falls, and it was fabulous! We started at the main overlook, and then we walked around the park right next to the Falls. Lots of gorgeous spots for photos here! :)
Love this shot of beautiful Marsha!! You are stunning, M!!! ;)
Then, we started making our way down to board the Maid of the Mist. Along the way, we met many random folks who wanted to take their own photos of and with Marsha and Steve. I’ve never encountered this anywhere else that we’ve photographed brides and grooms – Niagara Falls seems to be kind of unique in that way. People in wedding attire are automatically treated like celebrities, which is both hilarious and annoying at times (if you’re trying to do a job and people keep stepping in front of you), but we just roll with it and enjoy ourselves. :)
Another random family who wanted a photo with the bride and groom…my favorite part about this photo (besides the adorable kid who is looking directly at me) is the woman all the way to the right of the frame. She looks so blissfully happy and windswept!!
After the Maid of the Mist ride, we made our way over to Cave of the Winds, where Marsha and Steve had big plans of standing directly under the Falls.
Once we started climbing up to the Hurricane Deck, the over spray from the Falls was almost like fog! It was intense!! I had a waterproof housing on my camera, but unfortunately, the mist was too thick to get a clear, sharp photo without using off camera flash (which I for sure was not bringing up to the Hurricane Deck). Actually, there was so much water, that I’m not sure using flash would have helped that much! Either way, I think these photos give you a pretty good idea of what it’s like to stand directly under Niagara Falls!
Thank you so much, Marsha and Steve, for bringing us along on this awesomely fun adventure! We had a blast!! :)
