emily + sam // Templeton Landing Wedding

Filed in weddings shot by on at

There’s just something about Emily and Sam that had us absolutely loving everything about them and their special day. If you take a scroll through this post, we’re confident that you’ll know exactly what we mean. Maybe it’s how purely and honestly they look at each other. Maybe it’s because of how clearly and genuinely they’re both so loved by all of their family and friends. Maybe it was just something in the air that day (but we’re betting it wasn’t just that). Whatever it was, we’re so, so happy that we were there to capture it all.

Emily: “Sam and I lived in the same dorm during our freshman year and had some mutual friends. We all ended up hanging out one night. Two days later the large group turned into a group of 4 … and soon it was just me and Sam. It wasn’t long before the two of us were inseparable.

Emily: “The night Sam proposed, we went out to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant right on the East River. Afterward, we walked along the river a bit until Sam found the perfect secluded area with views of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges, and got down on one knee! After many hugs and kisses, laughter and tears, and a few photos to commemorate the moment, we went to a nearby bar to celebrate with a glass of champagne!

Emily: “We’re each other’s best friends, and we want to share all of life’s finest moments together.

Emily: “For us, family is #1. We also both value our friendships, having fun experiences, and our careers (mainly because they make those fun experiences possible).

If you loved the look of all the beautiful blue tones used in Emily and Sam’s big day then you’ll love this wedding too!

colleen + ryan // The Atrium @ Rich’s Wedding

If you’re looking for that picture perfect, happy-go-lucky, fun loving bride and groom, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better example than Colleen and Ryan. These two had our associate photographers Nicole and Michele smiling with them from sun up to sun down. In fact, everyone in attendance on their gorgeous wedding day had ear to ear smiles plastered on their faces. You know what we’re talking about … those smiles that are so genuine that your cheeks actually ache at the end of the day. The smiles that tell you just how much fun you had, and just how loved you are. Smiles like those are what we live for at Ayres Photography, and we were honored to have sore cheeks after spending the day with these two.
